Sue Wixley has lived in Wandsworth since 2009 and has championed local causes, from tackling air pollution and improving local recycling to promoting local volunteering. Sue is a leading figure in the charity sector and an award-winning campaigner.
Sue serves as a trustee of Citizens Advice Wandsworth. She co-founded Recycle More Southfields a local recycling initiative which has saved more than 150kg of waste from going into the rubbish for incineration. During the pandemic Sue was active in her local community support group, delivering medicine to housebound neighbours. Sue has stood several time for the Liberal Democrats, including as the London Assembly candidate for Merton & Wandsworth in 2021.
Sue is a passionate advocate for volunteering: "It brings enormous benefits to communities and the issues they care about and can be really rewarding for volunteers too."
